About Cyprus

Cyprus is an island of legends that basks year-round in the light of the warm Mediterranean sun. It has a 10,000 year history that has seen civilizations come and go and everyone wanted to claim a stake in such a beautiful, rich and strategic island. According to legend, the Greek goddess of love Aphrodite was said to be born on the island, and travelers throughout ancient times came here just to pay her homage.
Cyprus is still a prosperous and beautiful island, and has been a member of the European Union since May 1st, 2004.

Cypriots now enjoy all the benefits of European Union citizens, including easier travel restrictions, are protected under European Common Law, and are enjoying cheaper, high quality products coming from Europe.

PROTARAS is an exotic tourist resort in the Government controlled Famagusta area. You will fall in love with the golden brown sandy beaches, the ravishing sunset seen from moderately high cliffs looking gorgeous in contrast with the deep blue Mediterranean sea.

Protaras has a bustling nightlife with many clubs, bars and restaurants, while during the day you can see many locals and foreigners taking advantage of the beautiful beaches and the nearby historical and cultural hotspots, such as the villages in the area and as well as visiting nearby Ayia Napa, Europe’s second Ibiza.
